On March 6, 2024, a ceramics workshop for children from the People in Need center in Předlice took place at the House of Arts in Ústí nad Labem under the guidance of Jana Linhartová, a specialist assistant in the Ceramic Design studio. During the workshop, participants worked with ceramics and prepared ceramic products for the following raku firing workshop, which was part of the ceremonial handover of Robert Vlasák’s work Membrane and took place on March 28, 2024, at the People in Need center in Předlice.
In the second part of the workshop, the children glazed their products on-site and placed them in the raku kiln, where the products were fired throughout the day. Throughout the day, additional accompanying activities took place, such as a graffiti workshop led by Markéta Müllerová, a performance by a local children’s dance group from Mojžíř, and an instax photography workshop with Filip Trubač. The festive day concluded with a communal fire lighting.
