Meeting of designers with the leadership of the Velké Březno Retirement Home

The first visit of the project partner the Velké Březno Retirement Home took place in August. Tomáš Kříž, the director, showed the artists and the project team around the indoor and outdoor spaces of the organization. He explained what the organization does and what service it provides to the clients. Designers Jan C. Löbl and Jiří Bartoš were inspired by the place and will continue to find out the needs of clients and workers of the home for the processing of artwork in public space.

Jan C. Löbl is a designer and pedagogue, head of the Clothing and Textile Design studio at the Faculty of Art and Design of the J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. Among other things, it deals with the textile and clothing history of the Ore Mountains. Next to it he researches the textile identity of the North Bohemian region in cooperation with regional museums. He also works with theaters as a costume designer.

Jiří Bartoš has been working with classic materials such as metal. Author’s interest ranges from the creation of product design to free spatial creation. The main elements of his authorial projects are sound and movement. He currently works at the Faculty of Art and Design of J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem as head of the Design Department and assistant professor in the Product Design studio.
